About

I am Aren Emrikian, the founder and instructor of Kids Inspire Kids Math Circle. I am also the founder and instructor of MATHCOUNTS Club at Chute Middle School. I love interesting math problems and hope to inspire students to love mathematics as well!

I am looking forward to sharing engaging math problems with you. As we solve these interesting problems, you will develop skills needed to solve harder and more challenging problems.

I am currently a junior at New Trier High School. I successfully completed AP Calculus BC as a freshman, Multivariable Calculus in 10th grade and I am currently enrolled in Differential Equations through the University of Illinois NetMath program.

In the summer of 2025, I attended Ross Mathematics Program, an intensive six week mathematical exploration program in Indiana. (https://rossprogram.org/)

I have been competing in math competitions since fourth grade. Some of the math competitions I have participated in include Mathleague, MATHCOUNTS, Mathcon, Purple Comet, American Math Competition (AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12), and the American Invitational Math Exam (AIME) from 2021 - 2026. I enjoy participating in math circles and connecting with other enthusiastic learners. I am an active member of the New Trier Math Club and a member of the the Chicago American Regional Math League (ARML) for the past 4 years. (https://chicagoarml.org/)

I have also been fortunate to participate in competitions across the United States, including the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, the Carnegie Mellon Informatics and Mathematics Competition and Stanford Math Tournament.

Outside of math, I enjoy playing hockey and tennis. I have been playing travel hockey since elementary school and currently play offense for the New Trier Hockey Club Gray team.

Fun fact about me, In 2017, I became a chess Candidate Master which was an unexpected and exciting achievement for me and my family.

Through our math circle, I hope to enrich, inspire and motivate students to pursue mathematics.
